The author put this question to nearly 70 people - friends, family, colleagues and collaborators - asking them how they rated her in a various spheres of activity. Their responses documented on Kimbell’s questionnaire were then assembled into a book published by Book Works in 2002. They tell us at least as much about the respondents themselves as about the author. The book presents both the data, commentary on it and the data gathering methods by respondents and the author, and comments from individuals with insights into how value is measured including a psychoanalyst, an estate agent and Financial Times economist Martin Wolf.
